One of the e-commerce giant Amazon’s goals is to adapt the size of labels to the packages shipped. To do this, it is using a machine installed in its European innovation laboratory based in northern Italy. The company is currently testing a universal labeling robot, which is a high-speed automated labeling machine that can improve the placement and attachment of labels on paper bags and products shipped in their original packaging. With this new machine, labels are automatically placed on smaller packages with unique shapes, reducing materials, lowering costs, and improving speed and efficiency. Amazon is also testing a new easy-to-peel label technology in Europe and the USA that allows the customer, after delivery, to remove the shipping label from the shipped carton without additional Amazon packaging.
